Job title of the line manager: Team Leader Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To produce, modify, repair (by removing material) and adjust tools on the basis of a drawing, manufacturing sequence or instruction sheet. To comply fully with all standards, special procedures, safety rules and company regulations.

Scope of Activities

To carry out some or all of the following activities:

Create and modify tooling:

Create or modify an item of tooling at the request of the workshop or industrialization manager

Use machine tools (lathe, milling machine, drill) in compliance with the technical standards and use welding qualified techniques

Check tooling, and send any tool requiring technical validation to the inspection department

Repair tooling

When advised of a tooling failure, assess the damage and repair

Where a major component is involved, send the tool to the inspection department for validation

Provide technical support

Suggest and implement improvements for tools and/or methods

Contribute to the process of implementing preventive maintenance for the tooling stock

Create maintenance files

Meet forecast lead times

Propose maintenance standards

Provide leadership and training

Support and train new employees

Complete the manufacturing file and quality documents

The activities are to be adapted for employees on work/study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.

Address and resolve QSE alerts raised by personnel

Ensure that your team has the skills required for their jobs (QSE training, accreditations, etc.)

Support QSE maturity development in your sector

5 to 10 years’ experience
